Please note that the driftwood you receive may differ from the pictures shown, as each piece is carefully selected for its unique characteristics.

To prepare your driftwood for your tank, we recommend prolonged boiling for 3-4 hours. After boiling, submerge the wood in a bucket of water for 5-7 days, changing the water until the color remains unchanged. This process will ensure that your driftwood is ready to become the focal point of your aquarium decor.

Nocturnal fish, ghost shrimp, hermit crabs, and smaller fish will appreciate the addition of driftwood to your tank, as it provides a natural shelter for hiding. Please be aware that while most driftwood is sinkable, some pieces may require soaking for varying lengths of time to achieve the desired effect. This is a normal occurrence due to differences in density and not a quality issue.

For pretreatment, we recommend boiling the driftwood to release tannins and soaking it until the water color remains constant. If the wood still floats, continue soaking or weigh it down with a heavy object until it no longer floats. If you are unsure how to clean your driftwood, we suggest consulting an aquarium expert or searching online for quick and effective methods.
